1. Can I have two Credit Cards?

Yes. However, HDFC Bank issues only one Credit Card to each cardholder. But you can hold another bank’s Credit Card and an HDFC Bank Credit Card as long as you have a good credit score. Just make sure to pay your outstanding bill on time and maintain your CIBIL score.

2. How many days does it take to receive a Credit Card?

Getting an HDFC Bank Credit Card does not take more than two weeks at the most. After applying, you will have to complete the verification process, which will then confirm the card being sent.

3. What is the income limit to apply for an HDFC Bank Credit Card?

Option 1 - Applicant should either be self-employed or a salaried person. They should have a regular source of income. The Credit Card you are eligible for will depend on your income level. Someone earning ₹50,000 per month is eligible for a different type of Credit Card than a person earning ₹25,000 per month. On average, the minimum income requirement is ₹1,44,000 per annum for both salaried persons and self-employed. You may be asked to submit your latest Income Tax Returns copy as income proof.


Option 2 - Each bank has a specific minimum income requirement as eligibility criteria. You will need to have a regular income and provide proof of the same. Income requirement varies depending on the Credit Card you apply for. You can either be a salaried employee or self-employed and managing your own business.

4. What is the minimum age requirement for an HDFC Bank Credit Card?

You will need to be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply for a Credit Card. Even if you are an add-on Credit cardholder, the age limit needs to be met.

5. Can I increase my Credit Card limit?

Yes, it is possible to increase the credit limit of your existing card by making a request. This, of course, will depend on various factors, like your credit history, credit score, and income.

Frequent late payments may affect your Credit Card rating and force the bank to reassess your creditworthiness, leading to a reduction in your Credit Card limit and a possible increase in interest rate.
