Repatriation of funds from NRE account |

Note:
- Minimum amount for online repatriation is INR 5000/- and the request will be rejected if the amount of repatriation is below 5000/- INR.
- Maximum amount for online repatriation is INR 10,00,000/- per day and the request will be rejected if the amount of repatriation exceeds INR 10,00,000/-
- The NRE repatriation request received through Net Banking will be processed within 2 working days excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Indian public holidays, International currency holidays. In case the repatriation request is not processed within the prescribed TAT (i.e. 2 days from the date of receiving the request),an email along with rejection reason will be received by the customer.
- In case of any further assistance required related to rejection of request, customer may also write an email to [email protected] OR respective Branch Managers OR your Relationship Managers.
- The NRE funds can be repatriated only to customers' own/self-account abroad. The beneficiary's name should be same as per name of the account holder. Repatriation of funds to third party is not allowed under this option. The request will be rejected in case of any mismatch in the name of account holder and beneficiary name.
- Outward repatriation of funds under this option is only available from the NRE savings accounts. The request will not be processed if the debit account selected, is PIS/PMS or any other account except NRE Savings Accounts.
- The given 'Forex Rates (TT selling rate)' are indicative rates. Forex rates prevailing at the time of processing repatriation request will be applied.
Please Note:-
- IBAN is Mandatory for remittance in any currency to UK, All European Countries, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Israel, Qatar, Jordan, Georgia, Bahrain, Kazakistan, Kuwait and Lebanon.
- USD remittance to United States (USA) - 9-digit ABA Routing Number and SWIFT Code will be required.
- For all AUD remittances to Australia - 6-digit BSB code of Beneficiary Bank is mandatory.
- For all CAD remittances to Canada- 9-digit Canadian Clearing Code with "4-digit Institute Code" + "5-digit Transit Code" is mandatory. If the Institution code is mentioned in 3 digits, then user should prefix "0" (zero) to the code to make it a 9-digit local clearing code (i.e. "0" + XXX + XXXXX).
- Applicable charges and taxes for outward repatriation will be deducted from the NRE Savings accounts. In case of insufficient funds in the NRE account toward recovery of the said charges and taxes, the repatriation request will be rejected. Hence, you are required to maintain sufficient funds in the NRE account to avoid rejections.

- Providing mobile number or e-mail ID while submitting repatriation request will not result in update of your mobile number or e-mail ID in bank records. In case if your request is rejected, intimation will be sent to your registered email address only.
- The Bank shall have the recourse and right to recover from you any loss, liabilities and expenses incurred, or paid by the Bank that may arise due to remittance being effected to unintended beneficiary out of the proceeds of your Saving/Fixed Deposit Account(s) and that you will indemnify the Bank from and against such loss, liabilities and expenses.
- The customer has to ensure that the beneficiary account number and other details that entered are correct. HDFC Bank is not in position to validate a Non-HDFC Bank Account number and is not responsible for funds transferred/status confirmation to an unintended recipient.
HDFC Bank is not responsible for any charges / commission of any kind levied/charged by the Beneficiary Bank or its Correspondence Bank.
To add a beneficiary to remit funds from NRE account to Self-account held with Overseas Bank please follow the below steps:
- Access your Net Banking account using your Customer ID and IPIN
- Click on the option for "Fund Transfer " tab.
- Click on the option "Repatriation of Funds (Add Beneficiary)" under "Request option"
- Select the appropriate option i.e Repatriation of Funds (from NRE Account or FCNR Deposit )
- Funds can be repatriated to SELF account only. Fill the Beneficiary Bank's details and other information.
- After entering all the details, click on "ADD" button.
The beneficiary will be added after 30 minutes, after which you can transfer funds to that account.
Once the beneficiary is added. Please follow the below steps.
- Access your Net Banking account with your Customer ID and IPIN (Net Banking Password).
- Select the 'Fund Transfer' Tab
- Select 'Repatriation of Funds' under 'Transact' tab.
- Select transaction type as Repatriation of Funds from NRE Account OR Repatriation of FCNR Deposit.
- Select the beneficiary and Proceed with the transaction.
