How to register for PZ?

  • Click on Register, present on the bottom of the introduction Screen
  • Enter Your Mobile Number
  • Enter Your Name, Email ID & other details.
  • Enter Mobile Verification code sent as an OTP via SMS.
  • Create Pin for PayZapp.
  • Complete Device and Phone verification
  • On Completing the device and phone verification successfully, you will be registered on PayZapp.

UPI FAQs

1. What is UPI and its features? 

UPI stands for Unified Payment Interface (UPI). It allows transfer of money from one bank account to another bank account instantly via your mobile phone. The money transfer via UPI works on 24x7 basis. 

Using PayZapp UPI you can send money to peers, request money from peers, complete merchant payments, Scan UPI supported QR codes and make payments, check your bank balance, transfer money between your bank accounts, etc.  

2. What are the charges for UPI payments?  

There are no charges levied by PayZapp for UPI payments. 

3. What is a UPI ID or VPA? How do I get a UPI ID? 

UPI ID or a Virtual Payment Address (VPA) is a unique ID created for you to send or receive money through UPI. Having a UPI ID enables you to receive money to your bank account without sharing your account number or other details. 

When you register for UPI with an app, UPI ID will be created. 

4. What is UPI PIN or MPIN? 

It is a PIN set for a specific bank account to complete UPI transactions. You have to enter this UPI PIN to authorize all bank transactions via UPI. 

5. Can I link a joint account with UPI? 

No. 

6. Can someone access my bank accounts if they know my UPI ID? 

No. Your bank account details cannot be accessed by anyone with your UPI ID. 

7. Can PayZapp access my bank details when I link my account? 

No. PayZapp cannot access your bank details. You can securely do UPI transactions on PayZapp. 

8. UPI Registration 

  1. What is the eligibility criterion for registering for UPI on PayZapp? 

All PayZapp registered users who hold an Indian bank account with a member bank (i.e., your bank should allow you to use the UPI facility), can register for UPI on PayZapp. However, UPI registration should be done from a device which has the same mobile number that was used for PayZapp registration.

You can register for PayZapp UPI and make payments or transfer money directly from your bank accounts without any additional fee. 

  1. How do I register for PayZapp UPI? 

You can register for PayZapp UPI by completing the below steps:

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Register for UPI -> Complete SIM & device verification by sending a pre-filled SMS from your number -> Select Bank -> Select Bank Account -> Set UPI PIN, if not already set / Enter your UPI PIN  

9. How do I set my UPI PIN for a bank account for the first time? 

When you register for UPI on PayZapp, you will be asked to link a bank account for UPI. At this time, you can set the UPI PIN, if not already created. You will be asked to enter the last 6 digits and expiry date of your debit card. After that you will be asked for an OTP sent to your phone and the new UPI PIN, and the UPI PIN be will set. 

Or 

You can also set UPI PIN after linking a bank account for UPI on PayZapp, if not already set. Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Bank Account -> Set UPI PIN. 

10. UPI Transactions 

1. How can I send money to someone via PayZapp UPI? 

You can send money to someone via PayZapp UPI using the below options: 

a. Send money via Contact 

Go to Home -> Send Money -> Send via Contact -> Select the contact to whom you want to send money -> Enter amount -> Select the account to be debited -> Enter your UPI PIN 

b. Send money via Bank Account 

Go to Home -> Send Money -> Send via Bank Account -> Select the beneficiary account to which you want to send money / Add a new beneficiary using account number and IFSC -> Enter amount -> Select the account to be debited -> Enter your UPI PIN 

c. Send money via UPI ID 

Go to Home -> Send Money -> Send via BHIM UPI -> Enter the beneficiary’s UPI ID -> Enter amount -> Select the account to be debited -> Enter your UPI PIN 

2. How can I do a self-transfer via PayZapp UPI? 

You can transfer money between your own bank accounts using the self-transfer option in PayZapp UPI. 

Go to Home -> Send Money -> To Self -> Select the account to be credited -> Enter amount -> Select the account to be debited -> Enter your UPI PIN. 

3. How can I request money from someone via PayZapp UPI? 

You can request money from someone via PayZapp UPI using the below options: 

a. Request money via Contact 

Go to Home -> Request Money -> Request via Contact -> Select the contact from whom you want to request money -> Enter amount -> Request 

b. Request money via UPI ID 

Go to Home -> Request Money -> Request via BHIM UPI -> Enter the payer’s UPI ID -> Enter amount -> Request 

Your money request will be sent to the payer via notification. You can view the status of your money request in your UPI Transaction History screen.  

4. How do I accept a UPI collect request on PayZapp? 

You will receive a collect request via push notification and SMS on your mobile device, which has the number that was used for UPI registration on PayZapp. 

Once you click on the notification, you will be redirected to PayZapp application. Once you log in to PayZapp, you shall see a collect request pop-up. 

To accept the request, click on ‘Accept’ on the payment request pop-up. 

You will be asked to authorize the payment by entering the UPI PIN. Upon entering the correct UP PIN, the payment will be successful. 

Pending UPI collect requests can also be viewed in UPI Transaction History or PayZapp Notification screen. 

5. Which types of QR codes are supported by the Scan & Pay option on PayZapp? 

You can scan any Bharat QR, UPI QR or Bharat+UPI QR to make payments using the Scan & Pay option on PayZapp. 

6. How can I scan a BHIM UPI QR to make payments on PayZapp?  

Just look for the UPI QR acceptance mark/ logo at a retail/ online store to pay using BHIM UPI QR code. Scan the QR code using the Scan & Pay option on PayZapp, select the account to be debited, enter your UPI PIN. Upon entering the correct UP PIN, the payment will be successful. 

7. How is a PayZapp UPI transaction completed from a merchant website?  

If you have registered for UPI on PayZapp, a request via push notification and SMS will come to your mobile device for payment. 

When you click on it, you will be redirected to PayZapp application. 

Once you log in to PayZapp, you will be asked to authorize the payment by entering the UPI PIN. Upon entering the correct UPI PIN, the payment will be successful. 

8. Where can I view the pending UPI collect requests on PayZapp? 

Pending UPI collect requests can be viewed in UPI Transaction History screen or in PayZapp Notifications tray.  

9. How can I view the UPI transaction history on PayZapp? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Transaction History

Go to Menu -> UPI Transaction History  

10. What to do if the transaction failed but the amount got deducted from the bank account? 

Banks usually take up to 3 business days to credit money back to your account. Please wait for your bank to complete the reversal. Even after that if money is not credited to the source bank account, then you can raise a dispute from the UPI transaction history section on PayZapp or reach out to your Bank. 

You can raise a dispute from PayZapp application in the following way: 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Transaction History -> Select the transaction for which you wish to raise dispute -> Raise Dispute -> Select the dispute type and enter remarks -> Submit 

Or  

Go to Menu -> UPI Transaction History -> Select the transaction for which you wish to raise dispute -> Raise Dispute -> Select the dispute type and enter remarks -> Submit 

11. What to do if the transaction was successful but the amount was not credited to the recipient bank account? 

Banks usually take up to 3 business days to credit money to your account. Please wait for your bank to complete the transaction. Even after that if money is not credited to the recipient bank account, then you can raise a dispute from the UPI transaction history section on PayZapp or reach out to your Bank. 

You can raise a dispute from PayZapp application in the following way: 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Transaction History -> Select the transaction for which you wish to raise dispute -> Raise Dispute -> Select the dispute type and enter remarks -> Submit

12. What to do if my UPI transaction is complete, but my recharge/bill payment is pending? 

If money has been deducted from your bank account, please wait for the service vendor to complete your recharge/payment. If it is still pending, please reach out to your vendor. 

13. How many times after entering the wrong UPI PIN does the bank account get blocked? 

If an incorrect UPI PIN is entered 3 times continuously, after 3rd attempt the bank account gets blocked for 24 hours. 

14. What are the Steps for unblocking the bank account? 

In 24 hours the account automatically gets unblocked. You can also call up the issuing bank for the same. 

15. Is there any limit on the amount you can send via UPI? 

As per NPCI, the maximum amount you can send per UPI transaction and in one day is Rs. 1,00,000. However, the upper limit is set by the respective issuing bank and varies from bank-to-bank. 

16. Is there any limit on the number of UPI collect requests initiated through PayZapp? 

The maximum number of UPI collect requests you can initiate is 5 in a day. 

17. Is there any limit on the UPI collect request amount initiated through PayZapp? 

The maximum amount you can request via a UPI collect request is Rs.2,000 per transaction. 

18. What is UPI Cooling Period? What are the restrictions applicable during a UPI Cooling Period? 

The 24-hour UPI Cooling Period starts after your first successful transaction, post UPI Registration or a SIM & Device Update. During this 24-hour cooling period, you can transfer a maximum of Rs.5,000, including your first successful transaction done. Also, during this period you will not be allowed to delete a bank account or de-register for UPI. 

 

11. UPI Complaint Management 

1. How do I raise a dispute on UPI transaction through PayZapp application? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> UPI Transaction History -> Select the transaction for which you wish to raise dispute -> Raise Dispute -> Select the dispute type and enter remarks -> Submit 

Or  

Go to Menu -> UPI Transaction History -> Select the transaction for which you wish to raise dispute -> Raise Dispute -> Select the dispute type and enter remarks -> Submit 

2. Whom should I contact for transaction related complaint or disputes? 

You can raise a dispute from the UPI transaction history section on PayZapp or reach out to your Bank for any disputes. 

3. Whom should I contact to know my transaction queries? 

You can view the details of your transaction in the UPI transaction history section. If you have any queries related to your transaction, you can write to support@payzapp.in or call our customer care @ 1800 102 9426. 

 

12. UPI Account Related Services 

1. How do I reset/change my UPI PIN for a bank account? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Settings -> Change UPI PIN -> Select the bank account for which you want to change the UPI PIN 

Or 

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Bank Account -> Manage Bank Account-> Change UPI PIN 

You will be asked for your old UPI PIN and new UPI PIN, and the PIN will be reset to new UPI PIN. 

2. What should I do if I forget my UPI PIN for a bank account? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Settings -> Forgot UPI PIN -> Select the bank account for which you want to set the UPI PIN 

Or 

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Bank Account -> Manage Bank Account -> Forgot UPI PIN 

You will be asked to enter the last 6 digits and expiry date of your debit card. After that you will be asked for an OTP sent to your phone and the new UPI PIN, and the PIN will be reset to new UPI PIN. 

3. Where can I find my PayZapp UPI ID? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> PayZapp UPI ID. 

4. Can multiple UPI IDs be created using a single PayZapp account? 

No. 

5. Can I link more than one bank account to PayZapp UPI ID? 

Yes, multiple bank accounts can be linked to the same UPI ID. 

6. How can I link a new bank account with my PayZapp UPI ID? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Add New Account -> Select Bank -> Select Bank Account 

Or 

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Add New Account -> Select Bank -> Select Bank Account 

7. How do I change my primary/default bank account linked with PayZapp UPI ID? 

If you have linked only one bank account with UPI, that will be your default bank account. If you have more than one linked account, you can change your default bank account as given below: 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Toggle the Primary Account – ON for the account you wish to make primary 

Or 

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Select the bank account which you wish to make primary -> Toggle the Primary Account - ON 

To change your primary bank account linked with PayZapp UPI ID, you should first set the Primary Account toggle ON for the bank account you wish to set as primary. This will automatically reset the Primary Account toggle OFF for the bank account which was previously set as primary. 

8. How can I view my bank account balance? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Select View Balance for the bank account you want to check balance -> Enter your UPI PIN for the account

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> Bank account -> View Account Balance -> Enter your UP PIN for the account 

9. How can I delete a bank account which is already linked with my PayZapp UPI ID? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Settings -> Manage Bank Account -> Select the bank account which you want to delete -> Remove Bank Account 

Or  

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Method -> Bank Account -> Manage Bank Account -> Remove Bank Account 

10. How do I spam a UPI ID? 

You will be given an option to spam a UPI ID when you receive a collect request from that UPI ID.  

In the collect request, click on Spam option 

Click on ‘Confirm’ on the Spam confirmation message 

You will view a spam UPI ID success screen and the UPI ID will be spammed.  

Once you have spammed a UPI ID, you will not receive any more collect requests from that UPI ID until you unspam it. 

11. How do I unspam a UPI ID? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Settings -> Spammed Contacts -> Unspam 

12. How do I deregister for UPI services on PayZapp? 

Go to Home -> BHIM UPI -> Settings -> Manage UPI ID -> Remove UPI ID 

Or 

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Payment Methods -> PayZapp UPI ID -> Manage UPI ID -> Remove UPI ID 

Once you confirm to remove UPI ID, you will be asked to enter an OTP which is sent to your phone. Once the correct OTP is entered, your PayZapp UPI account will be removed. 

Existing FAQ Changes: 

Can I link my HDFC Bank a/c account to PayZapp? 

Yes, you can link your HDFC Bank account with PayZapp by registering for UPI in PayZapp and linking HDFC Bank account. 

Adding / sending money -  

For Minimum/Basic KYC customers, the maximum amount that can be loaded in the PayZapp Prepaid Card in a month is Rs.10,000/- and in a financial year is Rs.1,00,000/-. 

The maximum amount that can be outstanding at any point of time in PayZapp Prepaid Card  is up to Rs.10,000/-. The maximum amount that can be debited from PayZapp Prepaid Card in a month is up to Rs. 10,000/-. 

For Full KYC customers, the maximum amount that can be loaded in the PayZapp Prepaid Card in a month is Rs.1,00,000/- and in a financial year is Rs.5,00,000/-. 

Fund transfer limits will be as below: 

Minimum/Basic KYC customers 

Fund transfer to other PayZapp customers, Wallet Apps or any Bank Account is prohibited. 

Full KYC wallet: 

Registered beneficiary: 20,000 per beneficiary per day and 50,000 per beneficiary per month Currently only allowed on Wallet to account. 

Non Registered beneficiaries: 10,000 per beneficiary per month Currently only allowed on Wallet to Wallet. 

To add money, click on ‘Add Money’ icon in PayZapp home screen or Go to Home > Wallet transfer > click on the stack of coins icon on top right of ‘PayZapp Card’ 

Money loaded will appear in PayZapp as a Virtual PayZapp Prepaid Card. Click on the Card icon on top left of ‘PayZapp Card’ page to view the card (it has full 16 digit no, expiry date, and CVV on reverse) 

One must first "load money" into PayZapp Card and only then can one "Send money". Money can be sent to anyone via Contact or to their Bank account. 

Money sent to Contact will be received in recipient's PayZapp a/c. 

Money sent inadvertently to a non-PayZapp user, will get credited back to the senders a/c within 2 days - provided the recipient has not claimed it. 

Money Received -  

Recipient needs to have an Android phone with version 4.1 and above or an iPhone with version 8.0 and above to receive money sent on mobile number/ email id. 

Money sent via Contact will be received in recipient's PayZapp a/c. 

Recipient not registered on PayZapp will get an SMS with a code. Recipient can then * Recipient registered on PayZapp will get a PayZapp notification of money received and amount can be viewed on PayZapp card download / register on PayZapp and claim funds with this code. 

Do I have to load PayZapp Card to pay a merchant?  

You don't have to load PayZapp card to pay e-commerce merchants / bills. You can make payment directly from linked card or via PayZapp UPI. However, if you choose to do so, you may also make payments from loaded PayZapp card. 

For sending money, you have to load PayZapp Card first.
