As part of the new regulatory guidelines to enhance vehicle identification, reduce fraudulent issuance and enhance customer experience, FASTag-issuing Banks are required to carry out the KYV (Know Your Vehicle) process for all the FASTags that are issued to customers.
What You Need to Do:
Under the new guidelines, you must share the following details/documents of your vehicle with the Bank.
- A front image of your Vehicle with the license plate clearly visible*. Reference Image Below:
- A-side image showing the wheels of your vehicle from any one side*. Reference Image Below:
- An image of the FASTag affixed to the windshield, taken from inside the Vehicle*. Reference Image Below:
How to Complete the KYV Process?
- Please check KYV intimation SMS/E-Mail sent to you after purchasing the FASTag.
- Alternatively, you may login to the FASTag Customer Portal and click on KYV section to check and update KYV for each FASTag linked to your HDFC Bank FASTag wallet. (This feature is currently being developed and will be live soon).
Important Notes (*):
- HDFC Bank will review these images for verification. We'll notify you if any issues are found, and the FASTag may be temporarily blocked until verification is complete. Please upload correct images to ensure seamless FASTag usage without any worries.
- If you have purchased a new FASTag online or from any of our bank branches, then the FASTag will have to be activated for usage. To activate, please complete the KYV Process and enjoy seamless toll/parking payments immediately upon completion.
- Your KYV details will be valid for a period of 3 years, after which you must update them to ensure seamless travel.
