Why was my FASTag closed?

Your HDFC Bank FASTag has been closed due to incorrect / invalid vehicle no. updated in your FASTag wallet.

As per NPCI’s circular on Re-KYV (Know Your Vehicle), each FASTag must be linked with the correct vehicle registration number as per the Registration Certificate (RC) issued by Regional Transport Office (RTO).

What will happen to the balance amount in my FASTag Wallet?

Don’t worry, your money is safe in the FASTag Wallet. 

Follow these simple steps to close your FASTag Wallet and withdraw the balance amount.

  1. Login to FASTag customer portal via OTP verification
  2. Make service request
  3. Request type – Closure Request
  4. Sub-Request Type – Wallet closure
  5. Select Reason for closure
  6. Remarks if any
  7. Enter Bank details - A/c no., Bank Name, Bank IFSC for refund
  8. Select Payment Mode
  9. Upload Cancelled Cheque copy
  10. Click on consent for T&Cs
  11. Click on Proceed
  12. Enter OPT & Captcha and Submit Application
